John grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and joined the US Navy right after graduating from High School. The computer bug bit John early in life in Middle School where he started computer programming on a key punch machine type of terminal connecting to the mainframe using a data coupler. John was a technician on an analog computer for his first job in the Navy and he built his first computer in 1983, which means that he soldered all the components for the computer together. He moved up to the latest technology offered by the US Navy and pursued a degree in Computer Science while on shore duty. John started his business, Just Right while still serving on Active Duty in 1995. He is married to his lovely wife Maria of 33 years and has two adult children living in San Diego, CA. John moved to the Tampa Bay area on June 1, 2022 and loves living in Florida!
